Update:

All bodykit parts on order. Have recieved Blitz rear wing, Varis Carbon front splitter, Carbon intake, Carbon Nismo B pillar covers.

Audio system now designed and all parts purchased.

Still waiting on wheels, should be next week.

Exhaust will be Japspeed K1, fitted in approx 2 weeks.

Inbetween all of this, i pulled the dash apart and custom fitted a stand alone touchscreen GPS, with the intent of looking OEM:

The GPS unit was bought from an Ebay trader in China, roughly £120 delivered inc taxes and shipping. Has a 7" HD touch screen and runs windowsce, which means it can be setup to run pretty much any GPS software. I used iGo8.

Nissan wanted £500 just to convert an import GPS to UK, and the software is reportedly quite poor.

Works great so far.

Dave

You might want to remove the flare Dave. Even though they are standard in Japan you can get nicked for having it in your car here , the SVA company should of removed it before passing your car. Also check the date on it as it will probably be out of date anyway.
I could dig mine out of the garage and we could have a fireworks display at JAE ;)

Had a good sniff at this today........very nice...........wheels look very good indeed........also some very tidy work on the satnav...top marks, looks stock........
Now for the "Knob".......Daves original knob was a little bit short and stubby, and a bit on the leathery side which would get a bit slippy under frantic usage......you tend to lose momentum when your hand slips off when going all out for performance.......the improved knob on the other hand is a much heavier duty piece of equipment ,giving good girth for increased grip when firmer handling is needed for rapid performance......it has cleaner lines and is more aestheticaly pleasing to the eye....the main difference however is the increase in mass.......the much heftier knob now has much greater inertia alowing for a more rapid and faster forward and reverse thrust ,once more optimising performance once again.....its the old addage i'm afraid....you can't beat a good hefty knob....oh yeah and it's a Nismo........:)

You certainly do Mr.G - an outstanding knob review there - once again claiming victory as KK (knob king). It takes a lot of years handling knobs to be as thourough and detailed in your review as your good self. There's no 'beating' 'hands on' experience!

Cheers for the words dude.

Just a quick pic of the wheels for now, they're all mucky from scrubbing the tyres in and the pic isn't the best. Will wash and wax this weekend and get some proper pics up then...

Thanks Tommo, sadly i expect not. I have only half the of the bodykit (carbon varis splitter and blitz spoiler). The rest is on a slow delivery from Japan, got another 5-6 weeks to wait :pinch: then it will need 2-3 weeks in the body shop for fit and full spray. This should take the finish date to somewhere in October i expect. There is a chance of a complete audio system by then. I'm still talking to the boys on a few of the better audio forums and tweaking the design before gettign out the fibreglass and mdf, but this should be a reasonably serious install. Will have the intake, exhaust and plenum spacer sorted by then too so good sounds all round hopefully.

nope, affraid not Tommo - i'm resisting temptation and having all of the kit fitted at the same time as the paint. I think the spoiler would look ok fitted now but it was delivered bare (preped for paint) and so would need a spray in the wrong colour to look decent, the splitter would probably just look odd without the sills.

Having to excercise some patience here, and it's not what i'm known for!! (remember the JD?)

Good things come to those that wait apparently..
