Bought a Z, so i started a thread.
In a recesion busting move, i went and bought this ..
With the intension of turning it into something like this ..
Hopefully will pick up this weekend or next, then the project begins ..
Mr G and I are in disagreement about the wheels though (Volk RE 30's or Rota spectrum). All thoughts welcomed, wheels, kit anything really, say your piece ..
PS, no i'm not colour blind, it will be seeing a full respray shortly. White is a rare old colour for the fairlady and in my opinion looks awesome.

Limited to 115mph, no oil cooler, sav nav that will never work, radio on wrong frequency etc, etc.. Usuall import 'features' - wouldn't have it any other way! actually ecu is mapped to +10 bhp on uk cars. Have already 'blitzed' the limiter (first mod!). Bodywork has suptle differences (and square no plate recess!). JDM flare in passenger footwell (love those things). Managed to get model with brembo's and traction control. Xenon's as standard on JDM's. Will soon applying first mod, 5+zigen A Spec exhaust or similar, not fully decided what yet, Mr G is 'gently nudging' me toward custom pipes.
Photoshop mock up of rear ..
woooooop (but no tssshhhhhh in this one!)

Thanks for the comments, were off to a good start. I'm going to spend some more time in photoshop, so expect some wheel options posted soon. If you want to see a particular style post your options here and i'll do my best to 'shop' them. PS this is a good syte for 3fiddy wheel options

I'm keeping the rear 'lip spoiler' as per the second image, this is actually a blitz rear wing which is generally buffer and wider than most lip spoilers and less crazy than the nismo wing:
Sorry Mr G, no BIG JDM wings on this one.

Is that the SVA place at southampton. It looks familiar.
Very good eye's sir, it certainly is.
The company (there are several under the same roof it seems) are West Moors Motor Co, which used to exclusively supply imports to traders. As of late last year, due to poor trade, they opened their doors to the general public in an attempt to weather the recesion (no middle man). They are currently trying to get rid of their old stock in order to raise a sum of money, then use this to buy a huge stock of fresh imports as soon as the gbp-yen conversion is any way near favourable again (it is improving i believe). A good time to buy. Better still you get to see the cars 'warts and all' as they do not touch the cars that they import untill a deposit is down. I've had a good experience, so far ..
How is the skyline running?

Yes a good time to buy imports. I heard some are selling cars at a loss just to raise some cash flow and keep the wolves from the door.
Cars running fine i just need a couple of tweeks on the mapping but its 95% there now. Im off to the Nurburgring next thursday and if its not to busy and the weather is good im going to try and top her out on the 1 1/2 mile straight.
BTW good choice of car, there is a load of body kits and engine modding parts to choose from now, here is one of my favorite 350z pictures...

Ha ha, you worded it ok. As long as you use the word 'the' and not 'your' its safe.
I will let you know when we go next year so you can get your name down, and anyone else from here as well. There is about 30 of us convoying down there (skyline owners club) the accommodation is either double rooms, single rooms or camping.
