Insurance Frustration!!

Firstly, hi there peeps, not been on for a while. Had an accident before Christmas and since then been sort of caught up in various appointments with doctors, solicitors etc! Then Christmas itself!!

Anyhow, it's that time of year again, insurance renewal time!! It really surprises me the difference in prices you can get!! I've been searching the net for a few days now and I've pretty much decided where I'm going, dependent on my current insurers desperate attempts to entice me to stay with them!! One thing I have noticed is how much these so called "specialist" companies want to charge for their policies!! The quotes I've had from them have all been excessively high!! For example, Performance Direct, a "specialist" in performance and modified cars, want nearly £1200 for the Rex!! Fook that!! Admiral only want £425, with all mods declared!! I think that they must think they can get away with it due to a lot of insurers refusing to insure certain cars!! I think it's disgusting myself, and it's only gonna get worse!! My girlfriends daughter is currently thirteen years old, when she's passed her test and got a car it's gonna be impossible to afford insurance for her!! I did a bullshit quote just to see what it would cost now, and for an 18 year old female, just passed her test, insuring a 2001, 1.2L Fiesta they want £2700!! I'm dreading it!! It's gonna cost us a fortune!!

yep its crap especially if your male, my bro is 25 has a 1.1 peugeot 106 and pays £1600 on a provisional licence, but nikki is 24 has the 1.0 swift and only pays £540 on a provisional

my mates brother, 17, just passed test, £2400 for a 3cyl polo.

It really does take the mick, I'm not looking forward to it at all!

I pay £1200 for the GTR....£800 for the Vehicross.......£300 for the RAV4 and £400 for the Trooper.......all fully comp with protected no claims, mods declared on everything.......not too bad considering the GTR is hevily modded.......
