wd is good for day to day use and lower power cars - 250bhp or less however after owning the mr2 i definatly had fun in it and love the rwd set up however i also wish i had learned to drive it properly as in the damp especially i had the same problems as mr G in that i spent more time looking at the pavement instead of the road ahead
as for awd i have never owned one or had much experience in driving one however i spend a lot of time in minitonys scooby and am definatly impressed it just keeps goin where my corolla or mr2 would maybe start to slide.
as for my preferance im still undecided however i would love to own a decent powered awd car to get the experience

well i guess all the valid points have been made and all i can really say is i really enjoy driving a fwd car as they prety predictable and fun to drive, having own a reasonably powered awd car for the last year nearlly has really changed my perception and the grip is unbelieveable and is really something elese when you start hittong some corners and as for rwd iv never really driven a rwd car peoprly so i cant comment .I guess its all personnal prefferenceat the end of the day when it comes to day to day driving on roads as said tracks are a whole different story.
Also to add it can depend on how the car is set up ie a bad rear whell drive car will not stick with either a front or awd and vis versa etc ,
but for me day to day with a car with reasonable power i do prefare awd
