Sensible.....ish family car

Scooby is now ready for her facelift

reasonably productive day today, managed to fix the high level brake light after it fell apart the other day, also replaced the bulbs for leds, replaced the reverse light for led, managed to fit the sti wings and skirts, split and paint one headlight, and change the oil and filter, wired the hid kits in ready also had the carbon front splitter delivered

just gotta get the other light done tomorrow, hopefully get the front bumper back with the sti fog light covers and winglets fitted and of course a fresh coat of paint. then gotta mesh the bumper and fit the splitter,and finally re fit the headlights and test the hid kits

another day of progress, finished the headlights and fitted them tested hids but for some reason they don't work. not got the bumper back so hopefully tomorrow

well picked the bumper up from paint today and dean has done a great job with the spray gun, however upon re fitting to the car it has become apparent that the sti arches are a different shape to wrx ones resulting in my nice shiny bumper now not fitting the car, now having spent £200 on the spray job I need to buy an sti front bumper for around £300 instead which don't forget will come with the fog light covers and winglets I have already spent £150 on.
So annoyed right now as all the research ive done has never mentioned needing to replace the bumper.

so to ensure the bumper fits im going to go back to pole position to see if they still have the one off the car that I had the wings off, also gotta get the inner arches to make a proper job of it

Well the bumper could be cut to line up with the arches, it's about 25mm each side but the lines on the wing and bumper wouldn't match up then, plus the £200 carbon splitter I have here is also for the sti bumper. We have an sti coming into work in the next week or 2 so will be able to have the bits I need off it if its the right shape .

On the plus side the fog lights sold tonight for £70 despite one being cracked

Also the skirts are awesome and the wings looked great, the headlights look cool and don't most up and I've managed to fix the hids. And finally the lower boot spoiler arrived and I've fitted it already and that looks great too

Making progress mate........will look good when it all comes together.........

now the corolla has gone I have a bit of cash to play with so hopefully by JAE the Subaru will look a little different

Nope hopefully as long as I don't run out of time on Saturday, I have a nice set of d2 coilovers to fit, an sti front bumper arriving on Friday complete with zunsport wr1 style grille is an sti front bumper and wheel arch linings. So hopefully now the wings will line up with the bumper and the carbon splitter will also fit gonna have a go at carbon wrapping the interior too
