i have more or less decide now after my two weeks of holiday where i am taking the Almera!

it will be a project car and the ultimate aim will be for it to be running the quarter mile strip in and around the 12 sec mark!


as you have seen i have already posted my task list for my return, but i have a whole lot more in store which will be revealed soon!!

bueno, no soy espanol, soy ingles pero he tenido la suerte de vivir en espana para unos anos, cuatro anos cuando fui un nino! entonces hablo espanol!

inglaterra no son sonadores, pero hay dudas sobre la cualidad del equipo, sin juegan como jugaran ayer, no vamos a ganar!

ahh pablo i see yea your lucky to get to live in spain when you were younger My mum is spanish and my dad is english i was born in madrid! Yea if england play like that then they wont get any further in the WC! Anyway back to work Ed

update of whats happening, guru dave and myself have decided that the plan for the car is to source and fit a pulsar lump. once this is done we will strip apart the almera block and go to work on creating a hi spec block.

whilst this is being done, we can monitor the pulsar block in the car and highlight any problems that need looking at before the new block is finally fitted!

probably a long ass way round but we agreed it would be best as it will minise the amount of time the car is off the road

i will post up some more when the project has been finalised!

It has Daiyama Coilovers and its so low the downpipe scrapes on the floor.

The dashes and everything do work, as i have used the GTi wiring loom and just changed over all the sensors and dizzy etc, ive then got an emanage to get it running.

What would have been perfect is to use the GTiR wiring loom and then plug striaght into the the GTiR ECU and be running properlly straight away but like you mensioned the plug is alot different to the GTi one going into the dash and ignitition wiring. (dont fancy rewiring the whole thing)

But im having idling problems at the moment and a bogging under load. The emanage has not been correctly setup yet, im hoping the bogging is because of bad air/fuel mixture. As for the idling im stuggling at the moment, but im getting there slowly.

There are alot of little changes you have to do that doesn't make it an easy swap like alot of people say.
