Desmond Regamasters!

Has anyone heard of these wheels? I think they're quite popular with the Honda crowd. Apparently they are a Japanese wheel but made in Russia! I think the wheels on the Rex are these as the wheel nuts have the Desmond name on them and they are stamped Made In Russia on the back of the rim. Can't find out for definite as there seem to be conflicting stories of how to tell genuine wheels from copies! Might just get them shot blasted and resprayed while she's off the road, not sure what colour to go for though!! I like the matte black, but may go for something completely different!!

Quite a few EVO's imported from Japan also turn up with these wheels.....they have acheived Cult Status with some crowds,and can fectch a hefty price.....

Rota slipstreams are rip offs of these

Earlier i asked a proper wheel whore -

yeh the made in russia on the back should show they're genuine. Also the lip/edge of the rim tends to be nice n fat with no added shape or edging to it, unlike slipstreams. And i'm pretty sure regas never have any extra holes in the centres aside from the actual bolt holes. Slips and most fakes have extra holes between the bolt holes.

That should read flat - not fat.
