Howdy

Hi Guys, not sure if you are aware but I will let you know anyways. My lack of attendance over the last couple of months is due to a couple of reasons. I was away on hoilday the first two weeks in July. But main reason is I have spent alot of time going to doctors appointments and hospital appointments. When I returned from holiday mid July I began to loose the vision in my left eye. I was addmitted to the emergency clinic at my local hospital and I attended an appoinment a week later and during that time my vision got worse to the point where I could hardly see anything. A week later still i was addmitted to hospital to have an operation on that eye. I spent five days in hospital and was discharged about three weeks ago. I have only been back a work a week but I am still not able to drive or do anything considered strenuous.

At the same time I was having severe teeth problems and was unable to sleep i was in so much pain, so I have spent time in the dentists as well. The hospital have tole me I need to have a procedure done on my right eye as well to correct a problem. And on top of that I also need to go into hospital and have six of my teeth taken out.

it hasn't been easy the last month or so but I will get there.

Damn Pabz, sorry to hear about your woes. Hope you get it all sorted out and get back into the swing of things soon.

On a side note, are you sure the eye thing wasn't down to Mr G. performing an angry pirate on you?

Corbs - There were/are a few things wrong. When I was 17 I was diagnosed with Fuchs Heterochromic Cyclitis in that eye. The origin of this is unknown to the medical world and therefore there is no treatment. I was also diagnosed with a catract when I was 17. The actual operation I had consisted of four procedures, the removal of the cataract, the removal of the fluid in my eye (vitreous Fluid) because it had detached from my retina causing 6-7 tears or rips/holes which had to be repaired by cyro treatment (freezing them)and they then implanted an intra ocular gas bubble (just a gas bubble to most) to help my eye recover.

I have to have the cyro treatment on my right eye to repair a hole in that retina. That will be under a local anasthetic though.

Bryanr - Forgive me, but in my absence I may have missed the meaning of "Angry Pirate", i could have a guess at it's meaning and i am sure that coming from Mr G it is probably most unpleasant. However I am sure it wasn't due to his actions lol

cheers guys. Yeah getting there. Back at hospital again next week so they can check the eye they operated on and may get a date for my other eye.
