Shows @ Santa Pod; Please read.

This year, for ALL shows at santa pod, if you book a club stand, you must pay for ALL tickets for the stand in advance, to secure the stand. ie; if i book a stand for 20 cars, i need to buy 20 tickets. that = expensive. so.... do i;

a)book a small stand and car share if more people want to go, b)leave the booking til last minute, collect money before booking and hope we get a decent spot, or c) collect money in advance and if you cant make it you lose your ticket money.

the basic idea is, i dont want to be out of pocket, as going by previous years we usually book more spaces than needed. this will obviously cost me a fortune and carry the risk of me losing out or going short on cash as i cant get money off people straight away. im not asking for symapthy or donations, i want some input as a club.

if people say they can make it and then at the last minuite they cant go it tough luck

agree with greg, if people put there name down then they pay if they then back out then no refunds.

Agreed, i think sorting in advance is the way to go....

i'd just like to add that it is totally unacceptable for Tommo to be personally "out of pocket" for any show (and in past-tence, Jim when he did the show arranging).

Damn right, you take orders in advance, people pay, you book stand. People don't turn up, they lose the cash unless they can pass the ticket onto another member.

If you can't pay up front, you forfeit your right to park on the stand.

Draconian attitude maybe, but Tommo takes enough grief sorting this out, can't expect him to support everyone out of his own wallet as well.

I have trouble getting money to you tommo because of the distance so to save keep posting little cheques if you like i can give you x amount by cheque or when i see you and you can keep this to pay for any shows i go to 'till it runs out.
