Again, I've decided to consolidate my cars into one thread!

1996 GTi 'Stevo' (Currently used by my girlfriend Tasha)

1997 GTi 'Gizmo' (Formerly RaceworX's GTi, water damaged)

1996 Micra K11 - The new daily driver

Not too long! I'll give you the spanners for it as well so you arent messing about with adjustables.

Just got back in from fitting the 'new' rear suspension - KYB shocks with G-max springs (Thanks to pablo), to the SRi, handles much better with a touch of lift off oversteer :)

Quick update with the demise of the SRi and arrival of the newest member.

Anyhoo, picked up my 1990 K10 GS on tuesday night last week for the princely sum of £300!
On the way back from Cardiff to Stafford, however, we ran into trouble. Coming off the severn bridge, we tried out the electric windows and the headlights turned off. And wouldnt come on again. luckily we were close to my parent's house so stopped there and searched for a solution, which turned out to be one headlight bulb had smashed and the switch unit itself was faulty. We managed to hotwire the switch with a sawn-off screw and some cable ties (The nissan owners best friend!).
Back in Stafford, the car wouldnt turn over the next day. So, at the weekend, me, Tommo and Dave decided enough was enough and all the aftermarket wiring unfortunaly had to come out. That meant alarm, central locking, electric windows, speaker cables (Not in a good way as one of the door cards was full of water!
This solved the dodgy electrics, and the alternator issue was in fact a corroded wire, easily replaced and re-soldered. So now it worked! With a new headlight switch in the post, I taxed the car today and enlisted the aid of Sir Chrism to re-wire the stereo with the wiring from my Almera (RIP), complete with sony front components (That came with the car) and my sub and amp in the back. Put the snazzy doorcards back on and thats how he stands at the moment! Overall I'm rather pleased.

BTW - We decided his name is 'Gary' due to the reg plate.

Gah... not much happening recently due to me being away over christmas and completely unable to find someone to tow my cars to the barn to start work on the rebuild :(
Remains of Nymo :(

Gizmo, not a lot has changed here

And the red one in the process of being broken up...

You can probably tell I now have dented, rusty doors! mmmm!

As for daily drivers... the K10 was a bit... erm... well it's gone now, suffice to say I'm never going to buy an 8 valve again. This is it's replacement (Complete with speed dents!)

Total cost was £495, 12 months MoT, 6 Months Tax, brand new clutch, replacement gearbox fitted as old one was fooked. The body is dented as it lived in london previously and was a first car, but the chassis is totally straight and true. Great economy and nippier than my old K11 due to it being on 13\" wheels!
Going to get the GTi running then punt the k11 on probably, just want a nice almera again.

Got all the parts around - the cars are used as parts bins lol. All I'm missing exterior wise is a drivers side p2 indicator as I broke mine, and I need to get a new rear plate surround as I'm using the smoothed boot on gizmo.

It never rains it pours :(

BUT to be honest I was more concerned that Tasha was alright (She is, but quite upset about her car).
Thankfully I have most of the parts to fix it but it's gonna look shit. Will have to search around for the right parts.
