hey emma

ye when i was thinking of buying them i was worried about them fading, but then i thought this car is 11 years old and the current stickers have lasted this long so why not.

my speedlines are scatched a bit on all of them but they don't look too bad, i would like to get replacement speedline badges on the wheels but i think they would be hard to find.

I just had some clear side indicators delivered (with amber bulbs, photos to follow) i'd like to get clear front ones too, are yours the glanza ones? coz they're the only ones i could find off ebay, i do constantly look on ebay for parts.

did you get the whole exhaust or just the back box? and how much was it?

because i'm new to all this im a bit apprehensive when it comes to buying suff as i don't want to get ripped off, luckily my uncle owns a garage, and a friend has a civic and knows so much more than me as he's modded a few cars.

Yep, black cars a bit of a pain to clean. dirt shows up so easily, especially when it rains. i feel really lucky to have my sr and the body work is in such good condition apart from the odd bonnet chip from stones etc

Been a very long time since i updated this so thought it was about time. I've been away on deployment with the armed forces for a while but i'm home next week to do some work on my SR. At home i have Clear front indicators, a k&n air filter and a corolla inlet manifold to go on.

I've decided i'm not going to do a glanza replica, they seem too common, instead i've decided to keep the SR look as i've spent loads on the stickers and they are pretty rare. I do plan on putting a whole new exhaust system on at some point, providing i can find a cheap enough one.I doubt that i will put turbo in it now as the cost seems too much and i may as well buy a glanza.

I'm not too sure on what's next, maybe some eyebrows and wind deflectors, i think i'll tint the boot and rear windows too. I think i'm going to remove the trim from the doors as i like the look of starlets that have had them removed and maybe put square number plates on. What do you guys think? Any ideas will be welcomed.

-Rory

Hey well it's been ages since i've been on here and work on the starlet has been super slow as i've been working away a lot and am away on deployment at the moment. Called home the other week and found out that my car had been smashed up. Some pikey had ran across the bonnet and jumped on the windscreen smashing it. Very frustrating. Luckily my uncle owns a garage and removed the dents and replaced the windscreen for £120. They've caught the guy who did it too.

The car hasn't really changed since the last pictures posted. It's been MOT and serviced at my dad's work. He got someone to paint the inside of the alloys black as they were looking shit. And the parcel shelf has been repaired.

Work to be done in December once i return will be:

Sunstrip and rear 3 window tints
Replacement TTE Backbox or complete custom exhaust
Alloys reconditioned to remove scuffs and paint job (black probably)
Dashboard clock repaired (loose wiring)
Upgrade dash, door and parcel shelf speakers
Custom paint dash dial area (castrol red and green to match decals)
New CD player
New Induction Kit (k&n wouldn't fit) and re-route

that's about it for the time being. I don't want to change the overall look of the car just give it a bit of tlc

and suggestions?

How do mate, glad to see you back again. At least they caught the guy that smashed your car.

How longs your deployment?

Just keep what ever you do subtle and you can't go wrong! What you have planned sounds good!

Take it easy

Ye i'm glad they have caught him. I needed to replace the windscreen anyway as it had 2 chips in it and a deep scratch but that's not the point.

My deployment is 6 months long. Out in The Gulf with The Royal Navy doing anti-piracy and counter terrorism operations.

I'm looking forward to doing some work on it, everybody seems to do Glanza conversions to SR's so i'm going to keep mine looking as original as possible.

Just a shame i have to wait until December.
