to fill the useless pocket type thing in the dash, that if you put things in, they fall out anyway....

dunno mate, currently i have no oil in the car, its stone cold and i think my turbo has seized

more airbox modding....

see here, a small built in resonator type box thing in the air box lid = more restriction:
