Alarm/central locking trouble!! was created by Arnie
Well, since doing the service, the remote central locking no longer works!! The alarm still arms and disarms, but it no longer locks the doors!!! The central locking still works with the key in the lock, but no longer with the alarm!!
Any ideas or thoughts???

Not an expert on this.....i'll have a guess....the keyfob should emit a signal which is picked up by some sort of receiver..?......this receiver should be connected to a number of relays via a form of control unit/chip ,which then tell the various bits to operate.
Since your Alarm is deactivating, and the the doors operate manually,it may be a control relay from the the receiver/control unit.....only a guess,Greg or Jim on here might know for sure....

Unsure whether it is the same problem, but it is a common fault.
There is a sensor on the back of the lock barrel which is prone to coming off.
Basically door cards off easy enough, couple of clips couple of screws, may need to remove the metal bar that connects to the door strengthener and door handle for space.
Should be able to see if the sensor is on the back of the lock barrel, if it isn't they can be a pain in the ass to get back on, need to make sure "the moon" shape locates properly and clicks back into place.
Hope its an easy solve.

Cheers Dean, I'll try and have a look tomorrow. I've also been told it could be a fuse fitted when the alarm was installed. Apparently the alarm and the central locking are on sepererate circuits with seperate fuses so it could be the fuse that's gone!! Hopefully!!

Can't seem to find any!! The only thing I can find is the central locking relay, which I assume is ok as the central locking is still working when using the key!! Very strange!!
