hello hello i am still alive for all of those of you who were wondering!!
any way. i ran my starlet today and it was the fiorst time id been down the strip, shocked us all i think!
my best run of the day:
reaction -> 1.344 (but this dont count right?)
60 ft -> 2.551
330 ft -> 7.296
660 ft -> 11.296
MPH @ 660 ft -> 61.61
990 ft -> 14.685
1/4 ET -> 17.748
MPH @ 1/4 -> 77.06
did 9 runs in total ranging from this up to a slightly embarrasing 18.96402s @ 63.47MPH but to be honest i was expecting mid 20s on that run seeing as it took about 4 attempts to find where 2nd gear had disappeared to and then we found 5th instead of 3rd so i sort of gave up and just coasted over the 1/4 mile line!!!
oh well jimmy and tommo need to do a bit of work and tony you had better watch out too!! :
;D
i think jim has a few tricks up his sleeves to make mine just a bit quicker with minimum expenditure which sounds good to me 8-)
overall very pleased with today and i think every1 that ran feels the same, well done dave and paul with those PBs keep it up!
zara xxx :-*

great day, great times by Minty and Dave, also very impressed with Zara's time in the Starlet.
i would also like to say, in defence of my time at the pod (Hanging one's head in shame at the thought of the 17.32 :o :'( :'(), that was also my first time on the drag strip, i also had on the big, heavy ass 17" TSW's (And trust me they are heavy!), nearly a full tank of fuel and the big lump in the drivers seat.
But, i have plans, i am only gonna race once more (in this celica anyway, the word that comes to mind is GT4 - hint, hint), firstly i am experimenting with a few different types of air filter arrangements/combinations, run on the original 15" wheels with low profile tyres or even Steelies (IF any one knows of any 5 Stud wheels that will fit for sale), it's gonna be decat'ed, i'm going to work on the gear changes and if worst comes to the worst, a Boeing 747 Jet engine straped to the back.
but in all seriousness, i would like to congratulate Zara, Minty and Dave on their times.
