Trip to Japan 2010

Know someone who has just returned from Tokyo.......got the lowdown on how expensive Japan can be..........An "exotic" item such as a carrot will set you back £2.00 each.....a small bottle of beer is on average about £9.50....this guy bought two rounds of drinks in one of the high rise restaraunts which overlooks the city and the bill came to £110.00 for eight drinks........you can drink cheaper if you look around,but not by much.
Any imported item is expensive for example steak etc.......fish on the other hand is cheap...
Be warned.......it aint gonna be cheap.........!!!!!!

Joking apart they eat some really weird shit over there......they eat molluscs and crustaceans like we eat crisps.... .....think we will all be eating chocolate if it aint fish flavoured and it's cheap enough.......

Cold be an interesting trip! Whats the round price for flights, accomodation and whatever else?

Having been to japan last year, i can tell you that getting there and accomadation can be extreemly expensive and hard to come by at the time of big festivals, never the less, if you visit the smaller towns, where all the night life in japan happens to be, they have what is like a market, shops that sell cheap wine equivilent to about £4.00 which is cheap in japan and all sort of foods that can be cooked if your in self catering accomadation that wont cost you any more than £8.00 per day for one.

It is a very expensive country - but you wont regret going!


The culture is so incredible - and believe me, if you like cars, there is nothing like a thursday evening at the sides of what they call the drifting alley!
